Students enrolled in a Master’s degree program must take the Master’s Degree Assessment Test in order to attend courses and have previous knowledge recognized for the purpose of credit assignment or level validation.
Based on the test results, a language proficiency level will be assigned and credits awarded where applicable. If the required level for the chosen degree program is not met (see the Teaching Regulations on each course’s webpage), the student will be assigned either a Link identifier #identifier__136886-1classroom course or a Link identifier #identifier__94817-2self-study online course (CLACSON) . At the end of this path, students will take a final test on the studied content (proficiency test – no ECTs assigned) (collegare tramite link alle corrispondenti pagine in inglese una volta inserite).
In addition to these evaluation tests, the Language Centre organizes specific exam sessions (Link identifier #identifier__23992-3no ECTs proficiency test) (Italian version) for students participating in mobility programs such as Erasmus+ and other international exchanges. A total of three sessions are offered per year.
The Language Centre organizes, in addition to these evaluation tests, specific exam sessions (Link identifier #identifier__98618-4no ECTs proficiency test) (Italian version) for students who need to participate in mobility programs (Erasmus+ and other international programs), for a total of three exam sessions per year.
Master’s degree students follow the same academic calendar as Bachelor’s degree students (and may attend some of the same classes), though course registration and test dates may differ.
When booking the Master’s Degree Assessment Test, students who completed their Bachelor’s degree at Roma Tre University may apply to continue studying the language previously undertaken (either in class or online), without needing to take a preliminary placement test. However, the assessment test must still be taken at the end of the learning path in order to certify final proficiency.
Students who earned their Bachelor’s degree at another university may request to join an absolute beginner course (in the case of a new language) without needing to take a placement test.
