Language proficiency can be recognized in the following ways:

  1. Link identifier #identifier__114421-3Online language placement (Italian version) for newly enrolled student in the 2025-2026 academic year, followed by an Assessment Test
  2. Link identifier #identifier__100928-4Bachelor’s and single cycle degree assessment test (Italian version) for students enrolled in a.y 2025-2026 and in previous academic years
  3. Link identifier #identifier__162020-5External Certification  recognized by the CLA
    If you have an Link identifier #identifier__109941-6External Certification recognized by the CLA you don’t need to take an assessment test.
  4. Self study online courses (CLACSON)

If the level  assigned by the assessment test is not sufficient to obtain eligibility, the CLA offers either a Link identifier #identifier__110618-7classroom course or a Link identifier #identifier__31103-8self study online course (CLACSON).
At the end of this online course a final test must be taken on the topics studied.

The CLA also organizes specific test sessions (Link identifier #identifier__102392-9no ECTs proficiency tests) for students who need to obtain language suitability without the assignment of university credits—for example, for Erasmus+ and other international programs or for enrollment in a Master’s degree program where a language level is required.
